As good as revenge feels when executed and operated to gratification, the external emotions and outward transformations merit little if any deserved satisfaction. Appeasement is a sacrifice of the make up of your person as you settle to gain ground with/over another. Recently I have developed a sense that with Divine revelation reaction is a flesh deed and responding is spiritual. Due to my fascination with the usage and handling of words and terminology analyzing is equally important to the process of understanding.
A botched appendectomy invited gangrene into my small intestines and prompted removal of the part that absorbs b12 which assists in the control of emotions. I receive 1000mlg's monthly and can detect when I need them. I react to situations with full speed regardless of its capacity. If its happy I'm extremely excited and if its sad I'm emotionally depressed. I have analyzed myself "eccentric" as I do everything with extreme. Overindulgence amplified. This can lead to loneliness and confusion. The toll it takes another to communicate or relate to me can be tense and troubling if I'm not aware of my responsibility to any experience or situation. The key to overcoming depression and constant phobia was to trust and know GOD who designed me in HIS OWN IMAGE and LIKENESS. I pause and absorb the ramification of that statement then I proceed to read how HE REACTED, RESPONDED AND REWARDED. Spending time researching the events and comparing to personal and shared experiences I see GOD coming to life through us all. I've learned to transform my thought processing with spiritual guidance and listen for the voice of GOD to direct my understanding. The Scripture states that Understanding and Wisdom are gifts like children from our CREATOR. Wisdom is knowledge with a P.H.D. and a Masters. Each of us inherited knowledge complete from Adam and Eve. Obedience to GOD and HIS WILL for us grants the gifts of wisdom and understanding. Moses, David and Solomon possessed those gifts and excelled in daily functioning as long as they stayed GOVERNED BY THE ALMIGHTY and did not flirt with the forces of evil. Anger overwhelmed Moses when he struck the rock to receive water for a complaining people, David began to drift from GOD to answer the demands of his flesh with murder, adultery and pride, Solomon resorted to idolatry by building temples to the gods of his foreign wives and pleasing people.
In Scripture repeatedly we are informed of the advantages of obeying GOD(Deuteronomy chapter 28) and to trust in GOD(Hebrews chapters 02 and 03). We have example after example of the human character and its nature in opposition to GOD. The walls that house our spirit is called flesh and it is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing in that it was given to us to protect and identify us from the forces of evil and the principalities of this world, and a curse in that we inherited attributes from the rebellion of Adam and Eve in the garden. Death was not suppose to be a part of our existence but it was chosen by our foreparents who were duped by the forces against GOD. Ushering a mirage of emotions, disabilites and characteristics unbecoming of GOD.
Taking time to know and get closer to GOD reverses the inherited attributes from Adam/Eve and grants New Covenant through JESUS THE CHRIST as we repent and return to the order OF ALMIGHTY and transform our mind and actions to reflect change.
The fact that we are CREATED equal and attain the same blood defies the negative view of acceptance due to difference of opinion for faith. Let's take the subject of emotions and explore the channels of difference. From the free encylopedia we get this, "An emotion is a mental and physiological state associated with a wide variety of feelings, thoughts, and behavior. Emotions are subjective experiences, or experienced from an individual point of view. Emotion is often associated with mood, temperament, personality, and disposition. The English word 'emotion' is derived from the French word émouvoir. This is based on the Latin emovere, where e- (variant of ex-) means 'out' and movere means 'move'.[1] The related term "motivation" is also derived from movere.
No definitive taxonomy of emotions exists, though numerous taxonomies have been proposed. Some categorizations include:
'Cognitive' versus 'non-cognitive' emotions
Instinctual emotions (from the amygdala), versus cognitive emotions (from the prefrontal cortex).
Basic versus complex: where base emotions lead to more complex ones.
Categorizatio'n based on duration: Some emotions occur over a period of seconds (e.g. surprise) where others can last years (e.g. love).
A related distinction is between the emotion and the results of the emotion, principally behaviors and emotional expressions. People often behave in certain ways as a direct result of their emotional state, such as crying, fighting or fleeing. Yet again, if one can have the emotion without the corresponding behavior then we may consider the behavior not to be essential to the emotion. The James-Lange theory posits that emotional experience is largely due to the experience of bodily changes. The functionalist approach to emotions (e.g. Nico Frijda) holds that emotions have evolved for a particular function, such as to keep the subject safe." To further the debate it offered this, "Based on discoveries made through neural mapping of the limbic system, the neurobiological explanation of human emotion is that emotion is a pleasant or unpleasant mental state organized in the limbic system of the mammalian brain. If distinguished from reactive responses of reptiles, emotions would then be mammalian elaborations of general vertebrate arousal patterns, in which neurochemicals (e.g., dopamine, noradrenaline, and serotonin) step-up or step-down the brain's activity level, as visible in body movements, gestures, and postures. In mammals, primates, and human beings, feelings are displayed as emotion cues." From another site about emotions http://eqi.org/emotions.htm there is broad description of emotions as well as theory as such, "Managing Negative Emotions
General Guidelines
Here are few general guidelines for managing negative emotions. .
First, identify the feeling. Next, ask if is a healthy feeling. Then list your options and chose the one which is most likely to lead to your long-term happiness.
After asking these first two questions, the next step is to ask what would help you feel better. Try to focus on answers which are in your control, since it would be easy, but not too helpful, to think of things ways others could change so you would feel better.
Another question is to ask how you want to feel. This helps you direct your thoughts in a positive direction.
To summarize, here are some helpful questions:
How am I feeling?
Is it a healthy feeling?
How do I want to feel?
What would help me feel better (that I can control)?"
The Scripture instructs us in the book of Philippians 02:05-11 to have this kind of mind, " Let this mind be in you which was also in CHRIST JESUS, WHO, being in the FORM OF GOD, did not consider it robbery to be equal with GOD, but made HIMSELF of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, HE humbled HIMSELF and became OBEDIENT to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore GOD also has HIGHLY EXALTED HIM AND GIVEN HIM the Name which is above every name, that at the Name of JESUS every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, to the GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER.(The Inspiritional Study Bible by Max Lucado)" Wow that says a lot and we should honor the PRESENCE of THE LORD GOD and HIS WORD.
The Apostle Paul had no problem sharing the trials and tribulations of his experience in CHRIST. He was a former pharisee who persecuted believers of CHRIST under the roman rule until his encounter on the road to Damascus transformed his thoughts and actions. Study the books of Paul's writings(the books of Romans through Philemon) then study the Gospel books(Matthew through John) and revisit the books of The Law( Genesis through Deutoeronomy). It would do a world of good to confess sins inherited and then The Holy Bible can be read from the beginning through the end chapter by chapter and verse by verse. Read the word of GOD like you would the novels you purchase and cloud your emotions with flesh induced jargon and mental depressions.
